The Iveka Hosting Control Pro allows you to read news, send trouble tickets to Iveka, view your stats, set up databases, users and subdomains (if these options have been enabled for your plan). Control Panel Options On the left is a menu bar with the options: Databases, Add Users, Site Stats, htmlMyAdmin, Site Admin Tool, Submit Tool, Ticket System, Webalizer Stats, Password Protect, and Backup Sites. In the window on the right will be any News Items that Iveka has posted. Databases: If you have been set up with permission to add at least one more MySQL database, this option will come up. Choosing this option, you will go to a screen which will prompt for Database Name, User Name and Password. This is all the information needed to set up a new MySQL database. You should click on the 'Add Database' button to add it. Add Users: When this option is selected, a screen comes up showing the main user's full name, user name, password and email aliases. You have the ability to add a new user. This is required when a new Pop Email account with a different username and password is required by the site administrator. The details such as 'full name', user name, password (repeated to check for integrity) and maximum allowed disk space for the user are entered in this screen. If the 'Site Administrator' Flag is set to 'Yes', then the new user here created can set up other users, and can also FTP information to the main 'web' directory of the virtual site. By selecting the edit button you can change the password for this user Front Page can only be enabled for the user if the virtual site itself is enabled for Frontpage Extensions. Email aliases allow other email addresses to go to that user's e-mail account. For example, if 'webmaster' was entered here for the new user 'james', and the customers domain was 'hretfj.com', then all mail sent to the email address webmaster@hretfj.com would would also go to james@hretfj.com. Site Stats: This option does not show 'Usage Stats', but rather, information about the site itself. The following information is shown: domain name, domain username, domain password (for Auto Control Pro), Domain IP address, Plan Name, Price, E-mail, MB (hard disk space), Signup Date, Path (absolute path to the user's site), Users left and MySQL databases left. htmlMyAdmin: This popular free tool for viewing and administrating MySQL databases can be accessed via this link on the control panel. A user name and password must be supplied, after which all of your databases can be viewed. Site Admin Screen: this link takes you to the standard graphical user interface screen for users. This link is http://www.yourdomain.com/siteadmin. You will be prompted for a username and password. It is here that you can also set up users if they are administrators, and change your own FTP and pop email password. Submit Tool: This option takes you to a form which calls a simple script, designed to allow you to automatically submit various pages of their site to the major search engines. Please refer to the Help button on this screen for more information. This tool should be used with care, if at all, since some search engines detect whether pages are submitted by hand or not, and penalize those which are not. Ticket System This system is one method by which you can communicate with Iveka concerning any questions you are having, or other technical difficulties. Clicking on the 'Ticket System' link from the User Control Panel brings up a screen such as the one below:
You should fill this form out with all the relevant details. It will then send an email to Iveka's Tech Support, and also create an entry which can be viewed from your Auto Control Pro main screen, via the 'Ticket System' link there. Previously created tickets and their status can be viewed via the link at the bottom of the screen. Webalizer Stats: This provides a link to your domain's webalizer stats. Note that this option will only work once the redelegation for the domain name registration has gone through. Webalizer is a free program which keeps track of the site's usage. Password Protect: This allows you to password protect certain directories of your choice. This means that people trying to access those directories via the web wil have to supply a valid user name and password in order to gain access.
